HIP Club visit the workshop

Over the weekend we had the pleasure of welcoming a small group of 12-16 year old teens from local photography club, HIPClub into the workshop to take photographs of our equipment and and get some action shots of our engineers at work.

We are currently in the process of a brand rehaul, inclusive of a brand new website which of course requires new photography features. As a team we made the decision to offer this opportunity to local photography enthusiasts within our community rather than bringing in a specialist. Not only was this a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our community and support a local photography group, but a chance for us to find a photographer who could offer something different by thinking outside the box and by tackling our brief creatively. – We decided, who thinks more outside the box than teenagers?

We set up metal cutting, welding and drilling stations in the workshop, so the photographers could capture a normal day’s work with the DB team. With health and safety in mind, of course, they wandered freely around the workshop producing some fantastic photos in the process.

Darren Bardle, Director of DB Engineers said,

“It has been a fantastic experience for DB to have been given the chance to support another local company, in particular a not for profit organisation. Not only did we have great fun welcoming the club into the workshop, they have created brilliant work for their professional portfolios and we have some amazing photography to sit on our new site!”.
