• Darren Bardle

  Founder/ Managing Director

  Darren started his working life at Dunstons in Hessle. He became a time served plater. The next 20 years were spent continuing training and gaining experience from a variety of fabrication and engineering disciplines. This provided Darren with the skills he needed to set up his own fabrication and welding business. Darren still works on the shop floor when required to pass on his skills and to solve any engineering problems that may arise.

• Richard Anderson

  Works Manager

  Rich is a highly skilled engineer who is also a coded welder with years of experience on the shop floor. He has been a part of the company for seven years. Richs fabrication skills are of a very high standard which enables the company to produce quality items. Rich is very experienced in the installation of structural steel. He oversees the work in the workshop and meets customers requiring quotes.

• Mike Cass

  Supervisor

  Mike is a time served engineer who is also a coded welder. He runs the shop floor and is key in the development of the apprentices. Mike has a wide range of fabrication skills and specialises in stainless steel. He has a keen eye for detail ensures accuracy and quality of the final products for customers.

• Steve Atkin

  Team Member

  Steve is an experienced tradesman who has been at DB Engineers Ltd for 3 years. He works on the shop floor and on site when required. Steve always works to a high standard and is very experienced in controlling health and safety in the work environment. These skills are important to teach the apprentices the correct working practices in a variety of working environments.

• Andy Benham

  Team Member

  Andy is a time served fabricator/welder who works to a high standard. Andy wishes to carry on training and will hopefully become a coded welder in the near future. Andy is experienced in both site and shop work and works well in a team.

• Phil Scarr

  Welder/ Driver

  Phil has been with the company for five years. Phil is keen to develop his workplace skills and trained to be a welder two years ago. He delivers and collects materials for the company and helps to keep the shop floor in order. Phil is experienced on site in a variety of settings and is a very helpful member of the team.

• Michael Thompson

  Driver/ Labourer

  Mick works part time for DB Engineers, keeping the workshop organised to a high standard. He has years of engineering experience and an important member of the team. He delivers to customers regularly and collects materials when needed.

• Kyle Donegan

  Improver/Tradesman

  Kyle has recently completed his level three Fabrication and Welding apprentiship at HETA. He works to a high standard and was awarded apprentice of the year for his training organisation. Kyle is keen to learn and is beginning to specialise in stainless steel. Continuing his training at DB Engineers Kyle will become an excellent engineer with a wide range of skills.

• Ben Bardle

  Level Three Apprentice

  Ben is in the final stages of his level tree fabrication and welding apprentiship at HETA. Last year the training organisation awarded him with the Most improved student award. Ben enjoys learning on the shop floor and is starting to produce quality items for customers.
